'Japanese Dreaming'
Client Brief - Barbra, from North Lakes, had a large lounge room wall which irritated her immensely. Nothing seemed to go there. After discussing in depth what she liked, we decided on the use of the Japanese fabrics.
Our Strategy - Sharron looked through Barbras' collection and chose those fabrics which best suited her room colours. The wall was carefully measured and custom made canvas ordered. Sharron then designed the “painted collage' in readiness for the workshop date.
The Outcome - On the day of the Workshop, Barbra arrived to find the studio ready to go, with Blues music humming in the background, the kettle boiled and a plate of cookies on the coffee table. Barbra helped cut fabrics into shapes, mix delicate metallic colours and apply them as directed to the canvas. Together, Sharron and Barbra would stand back, admiring their work and Sharron taught Barbra how to see what needed changing and why. The result: stunning! The room is transformed and Barbra is one happy lady!

Client Brief - Scottish born Maggie studied art years ago and loves to dabble in a painting here and there. Choosing a painting for her birthday, she couldn't find anything she liked and so she booked a Work and Play Picasso. Maggie's appointment was at Christmas time and she was worried that we wouldn't be able to see through her Christmas wonderland but nothing hinder's Sharrons' ability to visualise. Maggie wanted to create something with texture for above her console.Scottish born Maggie studied art years ago and loves to dabble in a painting here and there. Wanting a painting for her birthday, she couldn't find anything she liked and so, she booked a private workshop. Maggie wanted to create something with texture for above her console. Sharron's abiity to visualise people's thoughts and expressions and then convert them to designs, ensured Maggie's expectations were met.
Our Strategy - Sharron suggested a great number of decor tips for Maggie then went away and purchased fabrics and faux gems that Maggie could use in her art and make new cushions with too. It was a fun and fabulous workshop! The laughs flowed, experiences were shared, new skills taught and Sharron ended up with Maggie's delightful Scottish lilt for weeks!
The Outcome - Maggie learnt how to paint a consistent textural background and how to balance collage elements across a large space. She learnt to stand back and squint an eye (which can be quite hilarious) to see what stands out and how to rectify it. Maggie loves her art and the difference it has made to her space and is eager to make more decorating changes following Sharron's decor tips.

'Toy Room Collage'
Client Brief - This client wanted a collage for 2 little daughters to match the toy room's designer curtain fabric. She also had a circus tent and circus toys in the space, so the theme was easy!
Our Strategy - If you look at the fabric design, you’ll notice we have taken the elephant, giraffe and monkey and bought them to life.
The Outcome - The children just love the circus and animal theme and they spend a huge amount of time in the space rather than in front of the TV and they like to play with the collection of soft toy animals and sit chattering together in their circus tent playing make belief.

'Swiss Farm Collage'
Client Brief - Sharron wanted a surprise gift for her mother's Christmas present; a European style collage to compliment her mum's handmade patchwork quilts in her granddaughter's room
Our Strategy - We matched the polka dot valance, blind fabric and Swiss cuckoo clock and extended the Swiss theme with snowy mountain peaks, pine trees, crops, a Swiss farm house and even and a farmer and his cow. If you want to surprise a loved one, just supply us with photos and or fabrics and we'll ensure a big surprise!
The Outcome - Themes help to take the children out of their everyday world, so this much loved collage helps the children think of other people, the work some animals do and different lands and homes that people live in. The girls, who regularly stay at grandma's, really feel at home here … and the room is so grandmotherly too isn’t it! We think it is a special, warm space they’ll always remember.
