Scientific Art - Making Colour Psychology work for your business:  Did you know that colour psychology, a soft science, has been used for thousands of years?  Human reaction to colour is well documented across cultures for the purposes of advertising and marketing and the interior design of places such as prisons, hospitals, apartment buildings and hotels to name a few.  We apply these rules to all office spaces to imbued a positive response from your staff and clients.

'The val eco Homes Difference'

Client Brief - val eco Homes Pty Ltd recently moved into their new corporate offices and showroom.  Having previously commissioned residential artwork, they again commissioned us to produce works for the cavity wall above the stairs and two pieces as signage for the top of the stairs and showroom.  Essentially they wanted something contemporary, fun and creative, but still incorporate their corporate image.

Our Strategy - Inspired by their architecture, we painted a triptych for the large stairwell wall that added colour and vibe to the otherwise neutral tones of the offices. The artwork commissioned for the top of stairs had to feature their company logo, which we also updated, while continuing to add colour and style to the space. We wanted to add a feeling of looseness and movement, with some elements of texture; our brushy, loose style technique did the trick. For the showroom, we focused on using metallic gold acrylic paint that toned in beautifully with val eco Home's yellow green logo and conveyed optimism and abundance. For the final 'Wow' factor, we Glass Coated all five (5) large canvases.

The Outcome -  These artworks conveyed everything our clients wanted them to - contemporary, fun, energy, uniqueness, but more importantly, relevance!  Thank you val eco Homes, it has been a pleasure to undertake this wonderful project for you.

'The Stress Less Investor'

Client Brief - Janet from Bluemint Property Management has the right idea when it comes to branding her company and new offices.  She used colour psychology for a peaceful, no fuss, clear message in cool blues and greens and then commissioned us to create an artwork for above her office lounge that would unite her decor and add flair.

Our Strategy - After talking in-depth with Janet about the rewards her clients envisage from investing in and Bluemint's effective management of the client's rental property, we designed a painting that showed an exotic and inviting holiday location.  Using the cool colours with orange accents for a beach theme worked brilliantly. We utilised a favourite Tailored Artworks' effect, and painted the cushion pattern on the sides of the custom made canvas.  Dangling the carrot in front of your clients as a visual goal is a great way to increase sales!

The Outcome -  Janet loves her painting, and why not, the artwork effectively conveys Bluemint's philosophy!

Queensland Thermo King's - 'Giant Map of Australia'

Client Brief - We were asked to research and design a huge, stunning and unique style map of Australia for interstate and overseas visitors, specifically highlighting all QTK and TK offices, showcasing tourist locations, Australia's topography and tailored to their new 6 million dollar building's office foyer. The client had been trying to find a pre-printed poster that had 'Wow' factor for some time without luck - we were the solution.

Our Strategy - We created a visually exciting map that would add movement and energy to the space; more like a work of art but practical.  Cohesion was met by not only matching colour and architectural line, but the lounge trim was incorporated around the edge of the custom made canvas as well - a favourite technique at Tailored Artworks.

The Outcome -  We delivered on time and on budget with Terry and his staff receiving many highly complimentary comments from interstate and international visitors alike.

Westfield Shopping Town, North Lakes - 'The Faces of North Lakes'

Client Brief The Centre Managers came to us a mere 9 weeks out from their grand opening date, requesting an art solution for an entry hallway. They wanted to use children's faces from the Centre's loyalty program as content for a permanent gallery.

Our Strategy - We suggested 6 sets of 12, 30.5 cm square canvases spaced out along their hallway, each set behind a sheet of protective Perspex.  Our photographer took photos of the children as per our instructions and we drew them onto canvas from the stills in studio.  The Westfield North Lakes “Faces Of North Lakes “ permanent gallery (between Woolworths and Big W), was opened with ceremony by Mandy Poynton, Westfield’s Project Manager and Pine Rivers Shire Councillor Yvonne Barlow in October 2007 in front of the children, their family, the press, Westfield officials and a very relieved Sharron.

The Outcome -  Our suggestion saved costs in printing, gave the client original works of art, ensured their deadline would be met and kept suppliers to a minimum. With time for only 2 hours for each portrait, we painted a minimum of 6 hours every day to ensure we would make the deadline. We were able to deliver the 72 portraits three (3) days ahead of schedule.  Children had the great joy of being able to recognize themselves on opening day.
